About Candid Caribou

Candid Caribou Clothing was born from a love of culture and creativity. As a Métis woman with family roots in Cree and Michif, I’ve always been inspired by the beauty of words and the strength they carry. Language holds memory, identity, and connection. Through this brand, I get to celebrate those teachings in a way that feels alive and wearable.

Each collection is centered around a word with meaning: sâkihitowin (love), miyo-pimâtisiwin (the good life). These aren’t just words, they are reminders of who we are, what we carry, and how we walk through the world.
